5 Ways to Include Green Tea in Your Hair and Skincare Routine

Make It Classy Team

Tags green tea

Green tea is a staple in many households, but for more reasons than you may think. Green tea can also be added to your hair and skincare routine.

Green tea is great for your hair and skin because it’s full of antioxidants, caffeine, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Benefits of Green Tea for Hair and Skin

  1. Can help clear up acne
  2. Can help hair from shedding excessively
  3. Can recover sunburnt skin
  4. Can help promote hair growth
  5. Can help protect the skin from harsh environmental factors – like pollution
  6. Can revive tired eyes
  7. And so many more!

Now that you know about all of these wonderful benefits, I bet you’re wondering how to get started using green tea. Here are some ways to incorporate this awesome tea into my beauty routine:

  1. Include a scoop of matcha into your weekly face mask routine. It’s why you’ll find matcha green tea as one of the main ingredients in the Modest Mia Matcha Face Mask.
  2. For a quick hair boost and to reduce shedding, you can steep a cup of green tea and use it as the last step in your wash/condition routine.
  3. If you happen to wake up with puffy eyes, there's a solution! To reduce the swelling, steep a cup of green tea with two bags. Let it cool and apply the bags to your eyes while you rest for a few moments. Works like a charm!
  4. Green tea works great as a spot skin treatment. Steep a cup, dunk a cotton ball in and apply it to the area a few times a day.
  5. You can also upgrade your shampoo by adding green tea to the mix. This usually only works with DIY homemade shampoos since there is a lot of water content. Add the green tea to a shampoo mixture you plan to use right away.
